Kindle Fire HDX Tablets now avaliable for order in NZ – REVIEW
We have always been great fans of the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite devices, and have even written a Kindle Review, about the NZ version of the Kindle Paperwhite. We are now pleased to see that Amazon are now allowing New Zealanders to purchase their new 2014 Kindle Fire HDX tablets from New Zealand.
The 2014 Amazon Kindle Fire HDX tablets are a direct competitor to Apples own iPad tablet devices, and Samsungs Galaxy Tablets. The new Kindle Fire HDX even has a higher resolution screen than Apples iPad Air, so it is very impressive. The Kindle Fire devices do tend to be cheaper, and they do have Amazons own custom version of Android on them, so you are restriucted to using Amazons own App store for downloading new Apps. However you don’t need to own a Kindle Fire tablet to use the Amazon App store, as many apps will work with any device with a compatible version of android. To test this, we have downloaded quite a few apps from the Amazon App store to our Samsung S3 phones, such as Temple Run Oz, and they work fine.
