Unlimited Internet Plan ISPs in NZ Compared
We have been providing Unmetered Web Hosting and Email Hosting to our New Zealand clients for a good many years. We are pleased to now see that more and more NZ ISPs are now offering Unlimited Internet plans to complement this.
Below is a list of NZ ISPs who are currently offering Unlimited Internet Plans to NZ customers, as of May 2014. Most of these plans include the fixed line telephone connection and broadband connection. This list is not comprehensive so there may be smaller ISPs who are also offering some Unlimited data plans.
Telecom
Pricing starts from $109 per month depending on speed and connection type.
Offers ADSL, VDSL and FIBRE, at various pricing. Their website says there maybe some traffic management applied. Minimum term contract and early cancellation fee may apply too.
Telecom are also a member of the TDR (Telecommunications Dispute Resolution Service)

Vodafone
Pricing starts from $99 per month if you have an eligible On Account mobile plan, or $109 without.
Includes Unlimited data for residential purposes, Home line with local calls, BestMates Free calls to your 5 favourite NZ mobiles or landlines, and Free MY SKY HDi every month for sky subscribers. However they have a large page of terms that apply, so make sure you read them. Minimum term contract and early cancellation fee may apply too.
Their website says there maybe some traffic management applied.
Vodafone are also a member of the TDR (Telecommunications Dispute Resolution Service)

Orcon
Pricing starts from $99 per month depending on speed, connection type and your location.
Price is also dependent on your location. Requires 12 month contract, and a one off $9.95 charge. Early cancellation fee may apply too.
They offer ADSL2+, VDSL and FIBRE options. Pricing for each depends on your location. In our location VDSL is $20 more than normal ADSL. Uses Orcons Genius phone line, which is a type of VOIP.
Orcon are also a member of the TDR (Telecommunications Dispute Resolution Service)

Woosh
Pricing starts from $75 per month
Only appear to offer ADSL. No mention of VDSL and cable. Peer to Peer (P2P) traffic is heavily throttled on this plan. A minimum 12 month contract applies. An early cancellation fee also applies.
Woosh calling service cannot be used with monitored alarms, medical alarms EFTPOS or traditional fax machines, nor Sky TVs pay per program system.

Snap
Pricing starts from $95 per month depending on speed, connection type and your location.
Their website claims there is no traffic management, no data cap and no fair use clauses. Minimum term contract and early cancellation fee may apply too.
Their website offers ADSL, VDSL and FIBRE.

Slingshot
Pricing starts from $89 per month (special price at time checking). Price depends on speed, connection type and your location. You need to enter your location to see if you can get the special price.
Their website says they do manage the speed of peer to peer (p2p) downloading on this plan to protect overall network performance.
18 month minimum term contract and early cancellation fee may apply too.
Their website offers ADSL, VDSL and FIBRE.

Flip
Pricing starts from $85 per month. Website says that only 60% of households qualify for Flips service, so you have to be in a Flip zone. Price depends on speed, connection type and your location.

Their website only appears to offer ADSL services.
